The Recorder is a graphic design magazine from Monotype. Acting as a homage to typography, The Recorder was first published in way back in 1902, the magazine has just undergone a complete redesign for a new 21st Century launch.

The magazine focuses on typographic application in the modern world, from graphic design, to signage and handwriting. The Recorder is edited by Emma Tucker, whilst the new redesign was led by Luke Tonge. They plan to publish twice yearly on a limited edition print run, you can check out some of the designs for the new first issue below.
